About Project Sunday
Project Sunday was created mid 2010 by Co-owners Aaron Phan and Cammy Nguyen. Over the coming year Aaron and Cammy spent every spare moment they had developing the website and sourcing fashion styles from their favourite destinations in hopes of being able to launch their first online fashion store. This idea came to fruition when the store was officially launched online October 2011. Initially the name of Project Sunday was only used as their designated Project day, since it was the only day they had free aside from their work and other obligations. Through these ‘Project Sundays’ the seed of their business adventure began to grow and it was only fit that the name of the business be Project Sunday as it held the significance of the beginning of their journey.
Project Sunday for them is a combination of the things they love. As a couple they share the same passion in web design, photography, art, the ambition of one day owning their own business and of course their love of FASHION. So they took what they loved and incorporated it into Project Sunday.
Project Sunday aims to be a reputable clothing label that sells niche fashion styles you would see in quirky little tucked away boutiques around the world. The way that Aaron and Cammy see it is “If we won’t wear it or buy it, we won’t sell it”. This phrase stayed with them throughout the designing process of their clothes to ensure that they are completely satisfied with what they were about to bring to market.
The idea is to create a personality for the label as a person who is dainty and an artistic eclectic. The dainty part of the brand would be delicate, gentle, feminine, youthful and romantic whilst the artistic eclectic part of the brand would be more curious, expressive, selective of only the fashion trends that they are drawn to, ignoring the key looks that everyone else has latched onto.
The combination of these two make up the foundation of Project Sundays style as a post hippie, naive, innocent romantic theme with a strange edge. Hopefully their customers will get a feeling of softness and nostalgia when looking at their website and clothes.
